      Our mission is to profess the gospel of salvation through ministry of music and song. We aspire to utilize our gifts to usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit with songs of praise and worship, to prepare the hearts of the congregation to receive the word of God, and to provide support through the ministry of music to our church, its auxiliaries and the community.
      Practices: Thursdays 7:30 PM
    • Male Chorus It is the mission of the Second Baptist Male Chorus of Columbia, Missouri to become brothers lead by the Holy Spirit with differing beliefs yet shared values. In joy and mutual support we offer musical ministering, spiritual nourishment, affirm the worth of each individual and honor the democratic process. We encourage males from 13 and older to learn and grow together while we labor for God within our chorus, church and community.
      Practices: Thursdays at 6:30 PM
    • Youth Choir The Second Baptist Youth Choir provides young people, from ages 4 to 16, an opportunity to participate in the co-ministries of the Music and Youth Departments of the church. Through these ministries youth are provided an opportunity to develop and exercise the musical talents and spiritual gifts given to them by God.
      Practices Thursdays at 6:00 PM
  • Usher Board
    As ushers at Second Missionary Baptist Church, it is our goal to meet, extend greetings with joy and enthusiasm and always a smile to the masses that enter through our doors. We strive to be an intricate part of the service by assisting the pastor where necessary and seeing to the needs of the congregation. By providing order during the service, we create a setting that will be comfortable for all to praise and worship God without reservation.
